King of New York (1990, Christopher Walken

King of New York (1990, Abel Ferrara)
David Caruso, Laurence Fishburne,
Wesley Snipes, Christopher Walken.
The gritty underbelly of New York's complex, ethnically divided criminal world is exposed in this dark drama.
It unapologetically in B-movie territory, but does it with A-movie style.
Without Caruso and Fishburne as larger than life wildmen, and Walkin, who inhabits another space and time, the film would fail.
Casting is the key here.

As good as Year of the Dragon, and Godfather, Just disregard the bullshit. Too much Hong Kong choreography. That's the only
thing wrong with this film. But no real damage done.

Not for everybody. Gangsters are really twisted, horrible , fascinating. Irrestible. This is what a guilty- pleasure movie is supposed to be. .
